The Innovation in Longevity Award is an initiative of the AgeINfuture consortium, derived from the Active and Healthy Aging Best Practices Award by the Regional Coordination and Development Commission, I.P. (CCDRC, IP). This initiative aligns with the regional strategy for promoting active and healthy aging, focusing on the AgeINfuture coverage area.
Sharing the same objectives as the Regional Award, the Innovation in Longevity Award emphasizes innovation, aiming to:
a) Showcase prototypes, projects, and innovative services designed to improve the lives of the aging population.
b) Foster networks for product development, strengthening connections between academia, industry, and society.
c) Encourage entrepreneurship, with a focus on products catering to all age groups, including older adults.
d) Promote scientific and technological innovation for longevity with health and quality of life.
e) Identify innovative products and services that enhance social protection, access to adequate housing, lifelong learning, healthcare access, and senior participation in work, volunteerism, and other social activities.
